Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN Neuro PCU

HCA Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and highly organized Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN for our Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU). In this pivotal role within our Healthcare & Medical Services department, you will blend direct patient care with leadership responsibilities to support a high-acuity neuro population, including patients recovering from stroke, neurosurgical procedures, seizures, traumatic brain injuries, and complex neurological conditions. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will serve as a clinical resource and role model for bedside nurses and support staff, coordinating patient assignments, overseeing daily workflows, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based neuro and progressive care standards. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, case managers, therapists, and ancillary teams to promote safe, timely transitions of care and optimize patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include performing comprehensive assessments, administering medications and treatments, monitoring neurologic status and progressive care parameters, intervening promptly in changes of condition, and educating patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. You will assist with staffing and scheduling needs, participate in staff coaching and precepting, help onboard new team members, and support quality and performance improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, clinical excellence, and patient experience. Documentation of care will be completed accurately and efficiently within the electronic health record while maintaining regulatory and organizational compliance.
