Quality Inspector

Complete inspections of materials and file quality records including receiving files and non-conforming material reports.

Maintain the receiving area in a neat and orderly manner.

Ability to check and unload incoming shipments.

Inspect the received goods to ensure their quality.

Ability to work with other departments if a problem or discrepancy is found and keeping careful records.

Count, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, bills of lading or other records.

Duties require basic knowledge of inspection/sampling techniques and familiarity with ANSI/ASQ Z1.

Basic familiarity with FDA QSR and/or ISO 9000/ISO 13485 Quality System Requirement.

Knowledge of mechanical and physical inspection techniques (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.

Demonstrated strong attention to detail and "do it right the first time" attitude.

Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Technical degree or professional certification preferred. At least one year experience performing mechanical inspections in an FDA or ISO regulated environment preferred, but negotiable.
