Nursing Assistant Temp

Job Summary

Under direct supervision by the RN performs delegated clinical or laboratory procedures. Monitor, set-up and maintain the operations of clinical equipment. Record and document vital signs. Stock and maintain inventory of specialized areas. Transport patients to and from designated locations. Assist with admitting and discharge procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned under the direction and supervision of the RN.

Required Qualifications*

• Graduation from high school or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience necessary.
• Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities which include moving, transporting and positioning patients and equipment as well as constantly positioning self to provide patient care and related duties.

Desired Qualifications*

• Progressive knowledge in methods, procedures, materials and equipment of designated area.
• 6 months experience in skilled long-term facility/acute care hospital, or
• Volunteer work of the equivalent of 1 year or experience in short-term care facility (i.e., rehab), or
• Completion of Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program, or
• Enrollment in pre-PA or pre-MA program track, or
• Associate Nursing Degree (AND) program
