Job Description
MICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12 hours, from 19:00 to 07:00. Requires working every other weekend.

Job Description

The MICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with complex medical conditions, including sepsis, ARDS, and multi-organ failure.
• Perform assessments and manage treatments in a critical care environment.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and patient management.
• Collabourate effectively with medical teams, including rapid response and specialty services.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and utilize appropriate PPE.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN License in hand.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar critical care setting.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage arterial and central lines.
• Experience with CRRT, ECMO, or related specialty equipment is preferred.
