Credentialing Specialist

Job Description The Credentialing Specialist manages the full-cycle credentialing and reappointment process for Medical and Allied Health Professionals. Acting as a primary liaison between applicants and the Medical Staff Offices, this role ensures regulatory compliance and smooth departmental operations in collaboration with the Sr. Credentialing Specialist and CCRD Manager. Key Responsibilities Guide new applicants and existing staff through the entire credentialing and reappointment lifecycle, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on schedule. Serve as the central point of contact for Medical/Allied Health Staff and Medical Staff Offices, providing clear guidance and updates regarding credentialing status. Verify professional licenses, certifications, education, and work history to maintain strict adherence to healthcare regulatory standards and hospital bylaws. Maintain highly confidential applicant files and update provider databases with precise, up-to-date information. Assist the Sr. Credentialing Specialist and CCRD Manager with departmental workflows and special credentialing projects. Job Requirements Applicable Experience: 2 years in credentialing or related functions. Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and credentialing processes.
