The journey begins here - with Global- a 1st Flagship Company, where we are currently looking for a Part-Time Training Manager to join our team. What You'll Be Doing: Develop and manage training programs for shipyard industrial trades (welding, electrical, pipefitting, rigging, etc.) Deliver hands‑on and classroom training, including onboarding and refresher courses Ensure compliance with OSHA, NAVSEA, and contract requirements Maintain training schedules, curricula, and qualification tracking systems Track and report training metrics, certifications, and workforce readiness Design and update training materials, SOPs, and work instructions Evaluate trainee performance and implement feedback and remediation plans Support audits by maintaining accurate, audit‑ready training records Partner with Operations, Safety, HR, and Quality teams to identify skill gaps and training needs What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum: 5+ years of experience in a shipyard, manufacturing, or industrial trades environment 2+ years of experience in training, workforce development, or instruction Strong knowledge of industrial trades (mechanical, electrical, welding, etc.) Familiarity with OSHA standards and industrial safety practices Experience delivering both hands‑on and classroom training Strong communication, organization, and program management skills Preferred: Experience supporting Navy/DoD shipyard or federal contracting environments Training certifications (OSHA trainer, NCCER, or equivalent) Knowledge of NAVSEA standards and shipyard processes Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) Work Environment: Combination of office, classroom, and active shipyard/industrial settings Regular interaction with skilled trades personnel Use of PPE and adherence to shipyard safety protocols required Global – A 1st Flagship Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
