As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Network Operations Technician to join our Network Operations team and help deliver an exceptional customer experience.This role is ideal for a technically minded professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting network operations, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.This position may be based in any Greenlight Networks market and will support network operations across our entire service footprint.As a Network Operations Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining network reliability and supporting our customers and field teams. Key responsibilities include:Monitor network performance and respond to alarms and service issuesAssist with network outage management, troubleshooting, and recovery effortsPartner with the Network Engineering team to identify maintenance and optimization opportunitiesSupport new market launches, district cutovers, and network rolloutsProvision and prepare networking equipment for residential installationsMaintain accurate records of network activities, maintenance, and incidentsCoordinate services and activities with contractors and third-party vendorsSupport Field Operations with installations, audits, provisioning, and related activitiesAssist Customer Concierge teams with technical troubleshooting and issue resolutionWhat We're Looking ForRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of home networking concepts and network architectureKnowledge of network equipment, including routers and switchesAbility to understand and interpret technical documentationStrong verbal and written communication skillsProfessional email communication skillsStrong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilitiesAbility to work independently and effectively manage changing prioritiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and reportingPreferred QualificationsExperience working in an ISP, telecommunications, technical support, or network operations environmentFamiliarity with ISP infrastructure and field operationsExperience using command-line interfaces and troubleshooting toolsDatabase experienceExperience with mapping or GIS systemsAssociate degree or related two-year technical degreeCompTIA Network+ certification preferredCompTIA Tech+ certification requiredWork Environment & ScheduleOur Network Operations Center provides coverage between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, and team members must be flexible to work non-traditional business hours as needed, including:EveningsWeekendsHolidaysRegular on-call rotationsCompensation: Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this position range is between $25.24- $33.94 an hour. The actual salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
