Position Overview Job Title: Valet Attendant Location: 3001 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 Schedule: Variable or Part‑Time (must include weekends and holidays) Work Environment: Oceanfront hotel right on the boardwalk Responsibilities Vehicle parking and retrieval Greet guests or customers upon arrival and park vehicles in designated areas. Drive vehicles carefully and responsibly, adhering to traffic laws. Maximize parking capacity through organized placement. Retrieve vehicles promptly upon request, ensuring keys are securely stored and returned. Customer service Provide courteous service and assist guests with luggage or belongings. Offer information about amenities or nearby attractions. Address guest concerns regarding parking or vehicle security. Safety and security Maintain a safe parking environment by following protocols. Lock and secure all parked vehicles to prevent theft or damage. Report safety hazards, accidents, or security incidents to management. Payment processing Collect parking fees and provide receipts. Maintain accurate transaction records and reconcile cash or credit card payments at shift end. Vehicle inspection and maintenance Conduct visual inspections for damage upon arrival and departure. Report discrepancies to management and document findings. Keep valet equipment (cones, signs, ticketing systems) in good working condition. Team collaboration Work collaboratively with other attendants and parking staff. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Perform bell attendant duties during high occupancy as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience in hospitality, valet parking, or customer service preferred but not required. Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift objects for extended periods. Professional appearance and demeanor. Manual transmission driving preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in guest interactions.
