Job Description

The temporary employee will support the Starbucks as a Barista on the Statesboro Campus. Temporary employees are employed according to departmental need and the length of time will vary by workload and may not exceed 1300 hours worked in a 12-consecutive month period.

Responsibilities

Greets customers and provides friendly, personalized service Prepares and serves a variety of handcrafted Starbucks beverages and food items according to company standards Operates espresso machines, blenders, and brewing equipment while following proper procedures Accurately takes and processes orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system Maintains a clean and organized workstation, including washing equipment and restocking supplies Ensures all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed Assists with inventory management, including stocking and rotating products Works efficiently during peak hours to minimize wait times Engages with customers, answers questions about the menu, and makes recommendations Handles cash and card transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash-handling procedures Supports a team-oriented work environment by assisting co-workers as needed Shift Specifics 32 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Shifts available Monday - Thursday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent

Proposed Salary

$14.00 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
