This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Systems Administrator based in United States.

As a Cloud Systems Administrator, you will support critical systems within an Agile AWS cloud environment, helping ensure infrastructure remains secure, reliable, highly available, and optimized. You will manage servers, applications, cloud resources, networking components, and security controls across a diverse technical environment. The role combines day-to-day systems administration with modernization, automation, troubleshooting, and infrastructure improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with application, data, cybersecurity, and other cross-functional teams to support high-visibility platforms. You will also contribute to upgrades, migrations, patching, compliance, and root-cause resolution of production issues. This is an opportunity to deepen your expertise across cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security, and automation while contributing to mission-critical technology programs.

Accountabilities:

• Install, configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, applications, operating systems, and supporting software across cloud and virtual environments.
• Monitor system performance and overall infrastructure health, responding to production issues and implementing root-cause solutions to maintain reliable service.
• Manage AWS resources and cloud environments, supporting infrastructure scalability, efficiency, availability, and performance.
• Support Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), networking, firewall, access control, backup, and other core infrastructure components.
• Perform system upgrades, security patching, IAVA remediation, and configuration activities while maintaining required STIG compliance and security standards.
• Work within a SAFe/Agile delivery model, partnering with application, data, cybersecurity, and other technical teams to coordinate delivery and resolve complex challenges.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, IT policies, and operational procedures to support consistent and effective systems management.
• Contribute to modernization, migration, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the cloud ecosystem.

Requirements:

• Active Secret security clearance required before starting the role.
• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Cloud Administrator, or in a comparable infrastructure-focused position.
• Demonstrated experience managing servers, networks, security patching, and cloud or virtualized environments.
• Hands-on experience administering both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, along with relevant technical certifications or professional training.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound technical judgment and maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and cross-functional teams.
• Production experience with Kubernetes or Amazon EKS is preferred.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, identity federation, STIGs, security patching, and IL4/IL5 environments is highly desirable.
• Scripting and automation experience with technologies such as Shell, Perl, PowerShell, or comparable tools is preferred.
• Experience with Terraform, including modules, state management, and reusable IaC, as well as Ansible knowledge, is desirable.
• Familiarity with observability and logging platforms such as Splunk or CloudWatch is an advantage.

• Competitive national salary range of $75,200–$158,100 per year.
