Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Sachse, TX, requiring over 2 years of Phase 1 PACU experience and the ability to perform both PACU and preop functions.

Details

• Located in an acute care hospital setting within the PACU unit (Recovery Room, Unit 704)
• 8-bed PACU unit with a 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Candidates will perform both PACU and preop/PAT functions
• Typical procedures include orthopedic/sports/joint surgeries and robotic general surgery
• EMR system: Meditech
• Shift hours: 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM (days)
• On-call is required: 1 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday plus 1 additional weekday per week, required once per month

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)
• Minimum 2+ years of Phase 1 PACU experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Preop/PAT experience is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Staff team consists of 4 day-shift nurses; no night shift staffing
