As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our day shift, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, including those with complex health needs such as memory care, behavioral health challenges, and chronic conditions.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient assessment skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to our residents. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, person-centered care while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews, to develop individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and injections accurately.

• Monitor residents' conditions continuously, utilizing EMR/EHR systems for documentation and ensuring timely updates on patient status.

• Provide wound care, including suturing and ostomy management, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques to prevent infections.

• Collaborate with physicians and specialists for comprehensive treatment planning.

• Assist with diagnostic evaluations like laboratory specimen collection and processing, ensuring proper handling and documentation.

• Educate residents and their families on health management strategies, including pain management, memory care techniques, and discharge planning.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient records in accordance with legal standards.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current registration in the state or jurisdiction of employment.

• Proven experience in long-term care settings or nursing homes; experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as PCC; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is preferred.

• Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, medication administration, tube feeding management, and basic life support certification.

• Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and diagnostic evaluation competently.

• Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
