Based on your work experience, skills, and education, you will be hired at either the entry, intermediate, or senior level of this job title. As you continue to learn, acquire new skills, and gain experience, you can be promoted to a higher-level position. The entry salary is posted above, with the Intermediate starting salary of $56,712.48, and a Senior starting salary of $61,249.44.

Note for internal applicants: Successful candidates already at rates above the posted salary will be evaluated on an individual basis to determine final salary outcome.

What you'll do:

• Coordinates and evaluates community outreach events to promote highway safety, particularly amongst elementary schools and community groups.
• Supports child passenger safety technician and instructor training, increasing the number of child passenger safety seat check stations and events.
• Prepares highway safety education grant applications and grant contracts; notifies grant recipients; monitors projects for compliance with grant requirements.
• Assists in the coordination of various highway safety programs and child passenger safety events; participates in and supports various coalitions.
• Assists with the development of various business reports; coordinates budget transfers, revisions, or adjustments.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Business Administration, Accounting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field, OR
• Four years of experience in positions related to accounting, auditing, business analysis or review, highway safety program administration, or technical experience in operations or related positions.

Special Working Conditions:

• Job requires occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
• Remote work from a MoDOT facility outside of Jefferson City may be considered.
