Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health/ Addictions

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Full-time hours of 36/week.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in an acute inpatient behavioral health and addictions hospital. The ideal candidate will demonstrate crisis intervention skills, verbal de-escalation techniques, active listening, and empathetic communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adults with behavioral health and addiction issues.
• Conduct assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and monitor patient progress and safety.
• Engage in crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with facility protocols.
• Rotate between units as necessary for operational needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• CPR and HWC certification required.
• Preferably 2 years of experience in behavioral health or addictions nursing.
