Excel Truck Group is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Technician to join our 1st shift team at our new Ashland, VA dealership. This role is responsible for performing scheduled work at our customer locations. If you have experience as a diesel truck technician, we want to hear from you. Certifications are a plus and can earn you an increase in wages. Experience with Freightliner, Mack, Sterling, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, and/or Cummins ideal but not required. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnoses mechanical problems; able to handle regular maintenance, light and heavy repairs for Trucks. To include repairs brakes, transmissions, rear‑ends, clutches, hydraulic systems, valves, pumps and electrical problems and engine repairs. Performs repairs and or scheduled maintenance as needed as a mobile Technician at our customers location. Ideally certified to perform State Inspections and CDL. Able to work independently. Can diagnose and repair on the roadside and or not at our dealership. Prepares work orders for repairs and works closely with our Parts department to insure an efficient repair. Promotes cooperation and teamwork. Willing to train and maintain certifications necessary as ongoing technician training and development. Able to embrace our Elite Support & Safety Culture. Must have your own tools. Performs other related duties as assigned.
