Key Responsibilities

• Monitor pets closely for any signs of distress, illness, or unusual behavior.
• Handle dogs safely and confidently, following all kennel protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennel areas, including basic cleaning tasks.
• Follow directions accurately and communicate effectively with team members and pet owners.
• Assist with feeding, exercise, and enrichment activities as scheduled.
• Use computer systems to update pet records and communicate with management.
• Lift and carry animals or supplies weighing over 50 pounds as needed.
• Work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts.
• Remain on your feet for extended periods while performing daily duties.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in dog boarding or kennel staff roles preferred.
• Strong dog handling skills with a gentle and compassionate approach.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with pet owners.
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic computer knowledge for record keeping and communication.
• Ability to follow directions carefully and work well within a team.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and remain active on your feet for long periods.
• Willingness to work flexible, irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
• Basic cleaning skills to maintain a sanitary environment.
