Preventive Maintenance Technician

Overview U-Haul is seeking skilled technicians to perform preventive maintenance on Ford and GMC trucks and to keep our fleet in top condition for customers. This role offers opportunities for growth through the Technician Training Program and access to tools and support to succeed. Primary Responsibilities Secure trucks on lifts and ramps. Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts. Perform tire and brake maintenance. Occasionally road-test vehicles. Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist. Collaborate with team members and assist in additional areas as directed by the supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience (preferred). Driver’s license. Ability to work both as part of a team and independently. Basic computer skills. Regular attendance. Work Environment The work involves manual labor and the ability to work safely and stay alert at all times. You may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or shields. Physical Demands While performing the duties, you should be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, with or without assistance. You will also be moving frequently, standing, sitting, and moving beneath equipment.
