Position Summary

At Buoy One, a server is more than an order taker—we are looking for hospitality-minded professionals who create memorable dining experiences while maintaining the pace, standards, and teamwork required in a high-volume seafood restaurant. Servers are expected to provide attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient service while representing the Buoy One brand with professionalism and pride.

Essential Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests promptly with a warm, polished, and professional attitude
• Guide guests through menu selections, daily specials, seafood offerings, and beverage pairings
• Demonstrate strong menu knowledge and confidently answer questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and modifications
• Accurately enter and manage orders through the POS system
• Deliver food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked sections and service areas
• Work closely with hosts, bartenders, food runners, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately when necessary
• Complete opening, running side work, and closing duties thoroughly
• Process payments accurately and responsibly
• Uphold all health, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies

• Maintain professionalism and respect toward coworkers and guests at all times
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining service quality

Qualifications

• Restaurant serving experience preferred (seafood and high-volume experience a plus)
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities
• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Commitment to hospitality, accountability, and teamwork
