Work Environment This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring a high standard of care delivered through technologically advanced platforms. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments using culturally sensitive methods to gain insight into each patient's personal and cultural experiences, leading to individualized treatment planning. Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, customizing your approach to fit the particular needs of each patient. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health challenges and fostering emotional resilience among patients. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care, ensuring patients receive support across various facets of their health. Provide immediate crisis intervention to patients experiencing mental health emergencies, utilizing strong crisis management skills. Educate clients and families on mental health issues, available treatment options, support networks, and community resources that can assist in their recovery journey. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation to meet legal and ethical standards of practice, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Engage actively in professional development through case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions. Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and cultural considerations within the mental health field to provide the highest standard of care. Patient Population / Client Focus Our practice focuses on providing high-quality mental health care to a diverse patient base, including individuals from various ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations. As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in addressing the distinct challenges faced by these groups, ensuring that therapeutic practices are inclusive, respectful, and tailored to the individual needs of every patient. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. A current and valid license as either an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida is essential. An in-depth understanding of various mental health disorders and familiarity with culturally competent therapy practices. Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy with a strong emphasis on cultural responsiveness and inclusivity is preferred. Proficiency in crisis intervention and the ability to manage high-stress situations effectively. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and treatments accurately. Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and healthy boundaries. Ability to collaborate efficiently in a multidisciplinary team setting, contributing to a cohesive treatment strategy for patients. Preferred Experience A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly involving diverse populations. Training or credentials in trauma-informed care and specific intervention modalities suited for underrepresented groups. Prior experience in community health settings serving diverse and marginalized populations. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 70,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
