CNC Lathe Programmer – Mazatrol

Farzati Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Mazatrol CNC Lathe Programmer to support our turning department in a precision machining job shop.

This position focuses on preparing programs, tooling plans, and setup instructions before jobs reach the machine, then working with operators to establish reliable processes. We’re looking for someone who enjoys figuring out how to make a part and communicating that plan clearly to others.

Responsibilities

• Develop Mazatrol programs for a variety of precision turned parts, with programming performed primarily away from the machines.
• Plan machining sequences, workholding, tooling, and cutting parameters.
• Create clear setup sheets with tool lists, workholding details, and inspection requirements.
• Support operators during setup, program prove-out, and troubleshooting.
• Improve existing programs to increase efficiency, consistency, and tool life.
• Organize proven programs and setup documentation for repeat jobs.
• Help operators develop their setup and machining skills through practical guidance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience programming and setting up Mazak CNC lathes using Mazatrol.
• Ability to independently plan a job from the drawing through the finished part.
• Solid understanding of turning tools, workholding, cutting parameters, and precision measurement.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.
• Experience troubleshooting machining problems and proving out programs.
• Clear communication skills and a willingness to work patiently with operators.
• Comfortable using a computer to prepare programs and setup documentation.
• Experience in a low-volume, high-mix job shop preferred.
• Offline Mazatrol programming experience is a plus.
