Join our healthcare partner's team in Rockford, IL, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting efficient sample processing and patient care. As a phlebotomist, you will be responsible for accurately collecting and handling specimens, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining specimen integrity. Your expertise will be vital in managing patient interactions and supporting laboratory operations.

• Perform patient registration, payment collection, and data entry of demographic and insurance information
• Transfer patient test requests into the Hospital Information System (HIS) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
• Resolve unclear test orders by contacting healthcare professionals and documenting actions
• Generate lists and labels, run daily reports, and review order monitors
• Assess orders for special collection requirements and perform phlebotomy using two patient identifiers
• Collect and label specimens accurately, ensuring aseptic technique and specimen integrity
• Perform specialized sample collections and limited waived testing
• Drive to client sites or patient homes for specimen collection and transportation
• Assist with inventory management and supply acquisition
• Need 3 years experience in setting
