What You'll Do

• Create a warm, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and families
• Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate learning experiences and activities
• Maintain active supervision and ensure children's health and safety at all times
• Communicate professionally and positively with families and coworkers
• Work collaboratively with teaching and administrative teams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom
• Follow all Texas Rising Star standards and Texas Child Care Regulation requirements

Requirements

• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to pass criminal and name-based background check
• At least two years experience working in a Texas Rising Star certified center
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• At least 12 hours of college coursework in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
• CDA certification
• Knowledge of NAEYC accreditation
