Refrigeration Technician

Skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of preventative maintenance, pretesting of equipment, commissioning and training of our service vendors. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all levels of pretesting, commissioning and maintenance services of rental fleet, with the primary focus on all refrigeration unit such as Daikin and/or Thermo King, Carrier and Trane commercial refrigeration equipment designed for commercial trailers.
• Manage service vendors and assigning and prioritizing repair work to service vendors and technicians.
• Provide ongoing training to current and new service vendors.
• Be able to test components, and connections using electrical and mechanical test equipment
• Read complex schematics associated with the refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
• Maintain work area appearance and safety.
• Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches. Provide additional support regarding preventative maintenance as required by location management
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational/Technical or certification preferred
• Valid Driver's License
• Specialized training and experience in the maintenance of refrigeration systems required.
• 608/609 certifications preferred
• Proficiency in the use of all necessary tools of trade required
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment is required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel, if necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required.

• The associate must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms.
• The associate must be able to safely work in all weather conditions.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.

Schedule:

Experience:

• Transport refrigeration: 4 years (Required)
• License/Certification: EPA Type II (Preferred)
