The shift is scheduled for four 10-hour days from 08:45 to 19:15. It involves working with all service lines except cardiovascular. Experience in a Level I trauma center is essential. Cerner experience is preferred. There is a requirement for one weekend shift per month. On-call rotation may be necessary. All requested time off has to be approved by management. The clinician will float within their skill set, although this rarely occurs. Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to apply for this role. It is essential to have lap assisted case experience for bariatric procedures. Experience in general surgery cases such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy is required. Client case skills must include lumbar fusion and cervical fusion. Orthopedic skills should cover arthroscopy and closed fractures. An understanding of trauma management is crucial. Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols is mandatory. The hospital is an acute care facility that operates a Level I trauma center. The unit consists of 23 operating rooms, handling various patient diagnoses. All service lines are included, except cardiovascular. This role expects high standards of professionalism and patient care.
