This role ensures high-quality programming aligned with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE), and district expectations while supporting special education staff through coaching, collaboration, and professional development. The Coordinator servesasthe primaryliaison between schools, families, service providers, and district leadershipto ensure studentswith disabilities receiveequitable, compliant, andeffective educational services. This position requiresregular travel topartner school locationsthroughout the MetroDetroit area. Ensure compliance withIDEA, MARSE, Section504, and districtpolicies and procedures. Monitor IEP implementation, student services, documentation, and program quality. Collaborate with schoolleaders, families, serviceproviders, and communitypartners to supportstudent success. Facilitate IEP meetingsand provide guidanceon specialeducation best practices. Supervise, mentor, andevaluate special educationstaff while supportingprofessional growth. Coordinate staffing, servicedelivery, and specialeducation programming acrossassigned schools. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of required compliance documentation. Participate in organizationalleadership initiatives,professional development, and continuous improvementefforts.
