Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setting, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. You will operate within the framework of a community health clinic that values collaboration, integrity, and respect for both clients and staff. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting an ideal work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing best practices and standardized assessment tools.
• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to their personal needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring alignment with evidence-based therapeutic standards.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate therapeutic interventions effectively.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and healthy coping strategies, fostering an informed and supportive environment.
• Regularly monitor and track progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to the treatment plan based on individual client needs.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary medical teams to provide integrated and holistic care to clients.
• Stay informed with the latest research and developments regarding mood disorders to enhance therapeutic interventions and improve client outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and confidential documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to continually enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders within the broader community, striving for destigmatization of mental health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will be instrumental in providing therapeutic support that empowers clients to manage their conditions and lead fulfilling lives. Your interactions will emphasize empathy, trust, and resilience-building techniques, catering to a diverse population from various backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the State of California.
• Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly for mood disorders, such as CBT and DBT.
• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
• A proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in treating mood disorders, demonstrating both clinical and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health setting or with diverse populations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms is preferred to streamline service delivery and documentation.
• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions would be an asset, as we aim to expand our services.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 and 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
