Responsibilities

Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and safety protocols.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling and documentation to maintain accuracy and avoid errors.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment that upholds company policies and safety standards.

Record and document all procedures and maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational requirements.

Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, ensuring they understand procedures to foster trust and confidence.

Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating organizational skills and adaptability to a dynamic workload.

Participate in training and perform duties across multiple locations as needed, including patient service centers and clinical offices.

Required Skills

Proven phlebotomy skills with experience in pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate openly and professionally with patients and team members.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure specimen integrity and accurate documentation.

Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environments while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Proficiency with keyboard and data entry tasks.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred, with experience in clinical and diagnostic settings.

1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Experience working in a patient service center environment is highly preferred.

Must be flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, covering multiple locations.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if traveling between sites.

Ability to make decisions based on established procedures, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
