Urologist

Emerald Resource Group

Urologist

Patients come to you when symptoms disrupt sleep, work, and dignity. This role exists to restore function, catch disease early, and make complex care feel clear. Success is measured in outcomes patients can feel and colleagues can trust-not in volume alone.
Performance Objectives
  • Diagnose and treat a full urologic caseload-stones, voiding dysfunction, oncology, men's and women's pelvic health-so most patients leave with a clear plan and next step the same day.
  • Perform office procedures and indicated surgery with complication rates at or below peer benchmarks, and document indications, consent, and follow-up without rework.
  • Close the loop on abnormal imaging, pathology, and PSA or other surveillance so no high-risk finding sits unaddressed beyond the agreed window.
  • Reduce avoidable ED returns and unplanned readmissions for your panel by tightening discharge instructions, medication plans, and early post-op contact.
  • Build referral relationships with primary care and specialists so appropriate cases arrive prepared and inappropriate ones are redirected with a useful consult note.
  • Participate in case review and protocol updates that shorten time-to-treatment for priority diagnoses without sacrificing safety.
  • Mentor advanced practice clinicians so routine follow-up is handled safely and your time stays on decisions only you should make.
Environment & Resources
  • Practice within a physician-led clinical team: advanced practice clinicians, nursing, scheduling, and a dedicated surgical coordinator.
  • Clinic, procedure suite, and OR block time supported by modern endoscopy, imaging access, and an EHR with order sets for common pathways.
  • Reporting line to the medical director or chief of surgery; operational partnership with practice management on schedule design and staffing.
  • Protected time for tumor board or quality review, plus administrative support for prior authorization and results tracking.
Essential Qualifications
  • MD or DO, completed ACGME (or equivalent) urology residency, and board certification or active board eligibility.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license and DEA registration in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain both before start.
  • Demonstrated independent management of clinic, cystoscopy, and core operative urology aligned to the objectives above.
  • Current hospital privileges or a clean record that supports privileging without conditions related to clinical competence.
  • Clear written communication that patients and referring clinicians can act on without a follow-up call for basics.
Role Selling Points
  • A schedule built around outcomes, not an open-ended inbox-block time, APP support, and results tracking are part of the design.
  • Real say in protocols, OR access, and which service lines grow next.
  • Colleagues who review cases together and treat complications as system problems, not personal failures.
  • A path to leadership in quality, robotics, or men's and women's health if you want it-and a stable clinical home if you do not.

If you want your days judged by patients who leave better than they arrived, apply with your CV and a short note on the caseload you do best. We read every application and reply to qualified candidates.
