Executive Communications & Information Governance Specialist

Apogee has a new and exciting opportunity for an Executive Communications & Information Governance Specialist who supports leadership by drafting and coordinating high-level communications and assisting with information governance practices. Ensures messaging is clear, aligned with leadership intent, and handled in accordance with applicable policies.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit executive correspondence, talking points, and briefings for leadership.
• Support coordination and routing of sensitive communications for review and approval.
• Assist in applying information governance practices, including proper handling and documentation of sensitive/executive communications.
• Help prepare the monthly Directorate Communication Summary Report summarizing key executive-level exchanges and themes.
• Work with senior staff to ensure consistency of messaging across internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Education / Years of Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Policy, International Relations, Journalism, Business, or related field, with at least two (2) years' related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely for senior audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Proficiency with standard office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, presentation software).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting senior leaders (e.g., O-6, GO/FO, SES) in DoD or IC organizations.
• Familiarity with records management or information governance policies.
• Experience preparing communication summaries or similar reporting products.
