QA Tester - Manual Testing (W2)

Headcount: 2 Interview: Microsoft Teams Job Description We are seeking experienced QA Testers / Manual QA Analysts to join our Agile product delivery teams in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidates will have strong hands‑on experience in manual software testing, test case development, requirements analysis, defect management, and end‑to‑end application testing. The QA Tester will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that applications meet business requirements, deliver a high‑quality user experience, and function reliably across integrated systems. The position will support digital portals, web applications, and CRM platforms. Candidates should be comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment and have experience using Jira, Zephyr Scale, Confluence, and SharePoint. Key Responsibilities Manual Test Planning & Execution Review business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution designs to determine appropriate test coverage. Develop, document, and execute detailed manual test cases and test scenarios. Perform functional, integration, system, end‑to‑end, regression, exploratory, and negative testing. Validate business rules, application behavior, data flows, and customer journeys. Identify and prepare appropriate test data and test conditions. Maintain reusable manual regression test suites for assigned applications. Communicate testing progress, results, risks, and release‑readiness concerns to stakeholders. Identify, document, and track application defects through resolution. Create detailed defect reports, including steps to reproduce, expected versus actual results, and supporting evidence. Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and vendors to reproduce and troubleshoot defects. Retest resolved defects and perform appropriate regression testing. Distinguish application defects from requirements gaps, data issues, configuration issues, and expected system behavior. End‑to‑End Digital Testing Manually validate complete customer and employee journeys across applicable digital channels. Test interactions and data flows across multiple applications and system integration points. Validate positive, negative, boundary, and exception scenarios. Identify inconsistencies in functionality, business rules, content, navigation, and customer experience. Ensure changes to one area of an application do not negatively impact existing functionality. Agile Product Delivery Work as an embedded member of an Agile product team. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and other applicable Agile ceremonies. Review requirements and acceptance criteria early to identify gaps, ambiguity, and scenarios requiring clarification. Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure requirements are clear and testable. Coordinate testing activities with development and release schedules. Support production release validation and post‑deployment testing. Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands‑on manual software testing or QA experience preferred. Demonstrated experience creating and executing manual test cases and test scenarios. Strong experience in functional, system, integration, end‑to‑end, regression, exploratory, and negative testing. Experience testing applications against business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Experience documenting, tracking, retesting, and closing software defects. Experience working within an Agile/Scrum product delivery environment. Hands‑on experience with Zephyr Scale, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint. Strong requirements analysis and business process analysis skills. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage testing priorities, and communicate quality risks effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience writing detailed test scripts and maintaining reusable test suites. Experience testing web applications, digital portals, or CRM platforms.
