Laundry Attendant – Housekeeping Support

About the Role

The Laundry Attendant washes, dries, folds, and organizes hotel linens and towels to support housekeeping and operations.

Essential Functions

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and uniforms according to standards.

• Operate laundry equipment safely and properly.

• Maintain par levels of linens and communicate shortages to leadership.

• Follow chemical handling, safety, and OSHA guidelines.

• Keep laundry room, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized.

• Inspect linens for stains or damage and remove from service as needed.

• Coordinate with housekeeping to support room turns and daily linen needs.

• Assist with inventory counts and restocking.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience

• Laundry, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate).

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and cleanliness.

• Ability to follow safety procedures and chemical handling guidelines.

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

Availability

• Scheduling may include weekends and holidays based on operational needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in warm laundry environments.

Work Environment

This position operates in a laundry environment with heat, noise, and repetitive motion.
