Lifeguard PositionThe City of Lake Forest is looking for qualified individuals to serve as Lifeguards during the Forest Park Beach 2026 season. Lifeguards must have a valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding & Beach Certification. Lifeguards will be staffed Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.Examples of duties include:Ensuring the safety of beach patronsPreventing injuries and minimizing hazardous situationsEnforcing all facility policies, rules, and regulationsActing in any emergency situation and staying with victim until help arrivesResponding to patron concerns and inquiries in a professional manner, and documenting incidents/injuriesRecording and maintaining detailed reportsMaintaining facility cleanlinessConducting safety inspectionsQualifications include:A valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding & Beach CertificationAbility to work weekends and holidaysAvailability from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day WeekendWorking at the Lake Forest Recreation Department this summer offers many benefits beyond just a paycheck.
