Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan School Social Worker certificate (310) is required—please submit a copy with your application
• Experience supporting K-12 populations, preferably within special education
• Comfortable working onsite exclusively
• Candidates without current certification must secure proper supervision prior to any interview consideration
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and create intervention plans tailored to students’ social, emotional, and academic needs
• Deliver direct services including counseling, crisis intervention, and individual or group support
• Partner with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop strategies that remove barriers to learning
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and continuing education opportunities
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
• Provide resources and referrals to students and families as needed
