Principal Cybersecurity Analyst

Salary: $112,700 - 193,200 per year Requirements:

• We require 6+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• We need hands-on experience with Splunk SOAR, including custom application and action development.
• We need strong experience with Python, API integrations, and automation architecture.
• We require experience using GitHub and project or work tracking tools such as GitHub Projects.
• We need working knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• We need demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous or complex needs into scalable technical solutions.
• A bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technology field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience in place of a degree.
• Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) and Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) is preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD and source control practices for security automation content is preferred.
• Experience building reusable automation frameworks is preferred.
• Experience with AI agents, LLM-integrated workflows, or AI-assisted analyst workflows is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI governance concepts, including approval workflows, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design, is preferred.

• We design, build, and maintain Splunk SOAR playbooks, automations, custom applications, and actions to improve cybersecurity operations.
• We convert complex security operations and incident response needs into resilient, scalable automation solutions.
• We integrate SOAR workflows with security tools, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
• We design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to solve challenging cyber defense problems, with responsible and ethical AI use in mind.
• We partner with Cyber Defense, SOC, and incident response teams to identify automation opportunities and improve end-to-end workflows.
• We use enterprise-approved AI tools to automate repetitive work, enhance security processes, and continuously improve operations.
• We provide senior technical leadership, mentor other analysts, and help establish automation standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
• We assess emerging technologies, including AI advancements, to guide solution design, security automation, and strategic innovation.
