About the Role:
Tekniques Salon in East Brunswick, NJ is looking for a talented and passionate Hairstylist to join our team! If you love transforming clients' looks and staying ahead of the latest trends, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your craft in a dynamic, welcoming salon environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of hair services including cuts, color, highlights, and styling
- Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and recommend appropriate treatments
- Execute precision haircuts for men, women, and children
- Apply color treatments such as balayage, highlights, and single-process color
- Perform chemical services including perms, relaxers, and keratin treatments
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation in compliance with state regulations
- Build and retain a loyal client base through exceptional customer service
Requirements:
- Valid New Jersey Cosmetology License required
- Experience in a salon environment preferred
- Proficiency in cutting, coloring, and styling techniques
- Strong communication and client consultation skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Passion for the beauty industry and staying current with trends
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
