License: ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board

Certifications: BLS Certification

Must-Have: Cardiac experience is a major plus; experience with IV starts strongly preferred.

Description: Traveler's permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the most central facility to be eligible to apply. The position requires working 3x12's nights, with every third weekend and holidays as assigned. On-call requirements include 3 weekday day shifts per month and 1 weekend call every 12 weeks. The unit has 2 MRI scanners, performing neuro, MSK, and abdominal scans. Specialty exams include breast, enterography, and patients with pacemakers. Patients in the ICU are scanned regularly, and conscious sedation is not performed. The role utilizes EPIC EMR. Charcoal grey scrubs are the standard uniform. The patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census is 40, with approximately 40 visits per day. There are 3 rooms available for MRI scans and 380 beds in the facility. Interdisciplinary support is available through IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. More than one call-off is grounds for termination, and no-call/no-show is grounds for immediate termination. Labs should be completed within 72 hours of signing. Modules are required and are non-billable, averaging 12 hours spent on them. Modules are completed pre-start and factored into the onboarding process.
