BEHAVIOR DIRECTOR | HOPE ACADEMY

WHO YOU ARE
You are a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special needs. You lead with clinical expertise and genuine care — building a culture where students, staff, and families can thrive. You're collaborative, solutions-focused, and energized by the work, even when it's challenging.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Behavior Program Leadership
Oversee all behavior-related services across Hope Academy's school-based settings
Design and implement programs, procedures, and staff training materials for learners with challenging behaviors
Ensure all programming — including PBSPs, ABA skill acquisition programs, data collection systems, and student goals — reflects current best practices and meets compliance standards
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Uphold professional standards and state and federal regulatory requirements
Monitor and manage behavior analytic programming for students on caseload, including target selection, data systems, teaching strategies, reinforcement schedules, and data fidelity
Collaboration & Communication
Partner consistently with faculty, staff, parents, and students to support shared goals
Document all interactions and services in line with Hope's policies and procedures
Supervision & Records
Ensure accurate data collection on all IEP goals and ABA curriculum targets
Complete and document supervision hours for RBT and BCBA candidates
Maintain thorough records of all services provided
Assessment & Training
Lead training and implementation of skill assessment tools (e.g., VB-MAPP), functional behavior assessments, and Crisis Prevention protocols
Additional responsibilities as assigned

Education & Credentials
Master's Degree (required)
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
Behavior Specialist License (BSL)
Completion of 8-Hour Supervision Course
Experience working with individuals with developmental delays or disabilities
Required Clearances & Training
Act 33 – PA Child Abuse History Clearance
Act 34 – PA State Criminal History Clearance
Act 114 – FBI Clearance (issued by the Dept. of Education)
Act 126 – Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
Act 168 – Previous Employer Disclosure
State License of Practice and/or Certification
CPR/First Aid Certification
TB Test & Physical
