Commercial Lead Sheet Metal Mechanic

Description Piedmont Service Group has been providing HVAC services to clients in NC, SC, and VA since 1971! We are currently looking for Commercial Lead Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team! We offer full-time, year-round work, company paid continual training, comprehensive benefits package and top compensation! Work Hours 40 hours per week Monday - Friday, with occasional overtime / Saturdays Position Summary To install heating and air conditioning systems, mini-splits, packaged units to company standards providing the customer with a high-quality experience. Install, alter, and repair sheet metal products and equipment ducts and hoods for HVAC systems utilizing blueprints, drawings, and work orders. Lead the install crew and supervise the work of other installers maintaining high quality and timely job performance. Responsibilities Read and understand construction drawings (mechanical, shop drawings, reflected ceiling plans and equipment/product submittals). Understand and apply all mechanical codes for duct installation. Properly install/hang air handlers and exhaust fans. Properly install square, round and oval ductwork and accessories (dampers, louvers, etc.). Properly insulate duct per project specifications. Take field measurements of ductwork based on drawings and field conditions.
