Host Company Overview Boston’s Restaurant and Sports Bar (“Boston’s”) is a family‑friendly restaurant and lively sports bar that specializes in handcrafted pizzas, scratch‑made gourmet meals, craft cocktails, and local beers. As America’s Sports Restaurant, Boston’s brings the community together around sports events and also offers venues for birthdays, family reunions, coworker happy hours, fundraisers, and more. Summary of Position Responsible for ensuring that the greeting and seating of guests is prompt, efficient, and friendly. They coordinate the organization, traffic flow, and cleanliness of the dining room. Duties and Responsibilities Business Affairs May be required to assist in the training and development of new team members. Cooperation, communication, and teamwork are essential traits for our team. May be required to accept and facilitate To‑Go orders via phone or online ordering and facilitate those orders’ execution in a timely manner. Responsible for properly handling cash and credit card transactions during the work shift. Ensure that all reservations, telephone, waiting list, and take‑out procedures are followed. Maintains a professional image and proper uniform standards while performing job‑related tasks. Monitors responsible selling and service of alcohol at all times as mandated by the licensing authorities, Serve Safe Alcohol training, and Boston’s Pizza training guidelines. Reports any concerns to the manager immediately. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Other duties as required. Guest Experience Frequent guest contact and high visibility in the dining room are required at all times. Ensures all guests are attended to and served in accordance with Boston’s high standards. When necessary, involves a manager immediately if a negative guest experience is identified. Responsible for ensuring the smooth, even flow of the dining room. Responsible for thanking every guest for their patronage sincerely. Product Quality & Knowledge Maintains a high level of food and beverage knowledge and ensures all menu items are prepared according to Boston’s standards and expectations. Ensures the standard recipes and methods are always used to guarantee consistency and efficiency for all menu items. Ensures guests benefit from ongoing and upcoming promotions by staying abreast and helping implement new promotions. Safety & Sanitation The health and safety of guests is a priority. Cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the restaurant must adhere to BPR and local health department standards. Proper practices must be in place to ensure food safety. Control time and temperature throughout the flow of food, practice good personal hygiene, and prevent cross‑contamination.
