Biostatistician II

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Biostatistician II to lead statistical projects independently with minimal oversight, mentoring junior staff and delivering analyses for clinical research studies. The role requires managing project timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with departmental procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead statistical project teams, conduct meetings, manage timelines and budgets independently
- Develop statistical analysis plans, database structures, and analysis specifications
- Calculate sample sizes, review protocols, and provide randomization schemes
- Program and validate statistical tables, focusing on efficacy endpoints
- Mentor junior team members and coordinate with programmers and data management personnel
Requirements
- Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Mathematics
- 2+ years of experience in comparable biostatistics role
- Project lead and client-facing experience required
- Proficiency in SAS and R programming
- Strong knowledge of clinical biostatistics and FDA regulations
- Project management and staff mentoring experience
- Independent judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision
