Nurse Extern Cardiovascular Progressive Care

Overview Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Nurse Extern for our Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing direct and indirect patient care to adults with complex cardiovascular and telemetry needs in a fast-paced, progressive care environment. As a key member of an interdisciplinary team, you will assist with patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, telemetry observation, basic diagnostic preparation, hygiene and comfort measures, safe patient mobility, and accurate documentation in the electronic health record. You will support medication administration processes as permitted by policy, reinforce patient and family education related to cardiovascular conditions and procedures, and promptly report changes in patient status to the RN.
