Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant / Chiropractic AssistantActive Spine and Joint Institute | Rio Grande, NJFull-Time | $26-$30/hour | Monday-FridayJoin Our Growing Team!Active Spine and Joint Institute is seeking a full-time, sports-minded Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our expanding multidisciplinary team of Chiropractors, Occupational Therapists, Nurse Practitioners, and Exercise Specialists.Our team works together to provide patients with drug-free, non-surgical treatment options designed to help them get out of pain, improve function, and get back to the activities they enjoy.With more than 34 years of experience, Active Spine and Joint Institute has grown to three South Jersey locations in Rio Grande, Northfield, and Mount Laurel, and we continue to expand.A Unique Opportunity for an COTAThis position offers an opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge and work alongside both our Occupational Therapists and Chiropractors.The selected candidate will be enrolled in a Licensed Chiropractic Assistant program, with the full cost of the program and licensure paid for by the owner.Once appropriately trained and licensed, you will have the opportunity to work under both our Occupational Therapists and Chiropractors, giving you valuable experience in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting.ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational TherapistAssist with patient evaluations, treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, and rehabilitation programsWork collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Chiropractors, Medical Providers, and Exercise SpecialistsAssist patients in improving strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and overall functionEducate patients on exercises and home treatment programsComplete accurate and timely patient documentationParticipate in team meetings and collaborate on patient careCommunicate with and refer patients to Chiropractic Physicians and Medical Providers when appropriateComplete training and coursework associated with the Chiropractic Assistant programOnce licensed and trained, assist with chiropractic-related patient care under the direction of our ChiropractorsBe willing to periodically travel to our Northfield and Mount Laurel offices to provide coverageQualificationsCurrent Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of New JerseySports-minded and interested in rehabilitation, movement, and helping patients return to the activities they enjoyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentReliable, professional, and patient-focusedWillingness to periodically travel between our South Jersey officesPAMs certification preferred, but not requiredPrevious outpatient, orthopedic, sports rehabilitation, or chiropractic experience is a plus, but not requiredCompensation & Benefits$26-$30 per hour, based on experience and qualificationsFull-time, 30-40 hours per weekMonday-Friday scheduleChiropractic Assistant program and licensure paid for by the ownerPaid Time OffHealth Insurance BenefitsDental BenefitsRetirement PlanEmployee DiscountsBonus SystemOngoing training and professional developmentOpportunity to expand your clinical skill set and work alongside multiple healthcare disciplinesFun, friendly, and teamwork-centered work environmentLocationThe primary location for this position will be our Rio Grande, NJ office.
