If you're an experienced engineer who enjoys both technical design and project leadership, this role is for you.What you'll doManage civil site development projects for residential, commercial, and industrial clientsPrepare and oversee the development of construction drawings for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructureDevelop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure successful project deliveryCoordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teamsServe as a point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycleLead and support proposal preparation and fee development effortsUtilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to support design development and project executionOversee engineering work and ensure alignment with project goals and company standardsSupport and mentor junior engineers and team membersManage tasks to meet scope, schedule, and quality objectivesWhat you bringBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred5+ years of experience in civil engineering designExperience producing site development plans for residential, commercial, and/or industrial projectsExperience managing civil site development projects in a consulting environmentWorking knowledge of AutoCAD, preferably Civil 3DStrong written and verbal communication skills with a client-facing focusStrong leadership abilities and experience working within project teamsUnderstanding of business metrics for project successProven ability to manage multiple assignments and appropriately prioritize workflowStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlinesWhy Thomas & Hutton?Competitive salary plus performance bonusCondensed work schedule for better work-life balanceTop-tier health, dental, vision, and prescription coverage401(k), generous PTO, holidays, and tuition assistanceThomas & Hutton University and hands-on Civil 3D mentoring to advance your careerSchedule: On-site: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.At Thomas & Hutton, our mission of "Building Relationships and Solutions for Success" shapes how we serve our clients, strengthen our communities, and invest in our team.
