Quality Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure product and process quality by maintaining workmanship standards and
adhering to quality program requirements
* Analyze data from customer feedback, internal defects, and supplier performance toidentify quality trends and issues
* Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, production, purchasing, etc.) to investigateand resolve quality concerns
* Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address
nonconformances
* Drive defect reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
* Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, testprocedures, and work instructions
* Ensure all special characteristics are identified and properly managed within controlplans
* Define and implement process controls, including data collection, monitoring, andanalysis methods
* Evaluate nonconforming materials and initiate supplier containment and correctiveactions
* Manage supplier quality performance for assigned suppliers
* Determine requirements for incoming inspections and maintain related proceduresand documentation
* Establish and maintain quality standards, boundary samples, and appearance mastersamples
* Ensure all process and product changes meet customer requirements and are
properly documented and approved
* Notify management of quality issues and nonconforming products in a timely manner
* Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, including IATF 16949 (TS-16949)and internal systems
Qualifications & Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field preferred
* Experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment
(automotive preferred)
* Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards, including IATF 16949 (TS-16949)
* Experience with root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive corrective actions
* Experience with control plans, PFMEA, and process validation
* Knowledge of supplier quality management and incoming inspection processes
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills
* Experience with quality tools such as Minitab or similar statistical analysis software
* Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and other automotive core tools
* Continuous improvement mindset with Lean or Six Sigma experien
