Position Summary We are searching for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Human Resources Generalist (Sr. HR Generalist) who shares our vision and is ready to take our Human Resources team to the next level. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations, Investigation, and Issue Management: Provide thought partnership in discipline, adverse actions, grievances, performance management and recognition, employee counseling, and related functions. Lead employee relations investigations, gathering background information, probing and analyzing to identify causes of misconduct or poor performance; recommend appropriate courses of action. Guide managers on grievance, performance management, and other sensitive issues; propose options for resolution aligned with culture, policies, and laws. Ensure issues are handled fairly, consistently, and judiciously. Talent Management & Recruitment: Support the HR Director with recruiting and retention plans, including career development, succession planning, and leadership development. Advise managers on recruitment strategies, sources, and affirmative‑action programs to attract qualified candidates. Assist in job analysis, vacancy announcements, qualification requirements, and screening to ensure minimum qualifications. Review position descriptions for accuracy, recommend proper title, series, and grade. Advise screening committees and hiring officials to facilitate the hiring process. Assist supervisors in recruiting student assistants and make employment offers. Maintain and train EEO representatives for screening committees. Training & Onboarding: Plan and implement training workshops or seminars. Assist managers in developing individual training plans for staff with special training needs. Conduct new‑employee orientations and explain benefit options and personnel procedures. Provide assistance to staff in employment‑related matters. Workers’ Compensation Management: Review claims and investigate occupational injuries and non‑employee accidents. Determine causative factors and take corrective action. Coordinate occupational injury and illness record‑keeping. Safety & Health: Provide safety consultation and technical direction on occupational safety standards. Coordinate safety and health inspections to facilitate injury and illness prevention. Accompany compliance officers and workers’‑comp insurance representatives during investigations. Work with the HR Director to develop programs that encourage health, safety, and self‑care. Benefits Administration: Assist in program aspects of benefits administration, including developing policies and preparing reports. Administer travel insurance for staff traveling outside the U.S., review and renew policies, and provide educational information to staff. Compliance: Stay abreast of new and amended laws and innovations in HR practices. Develop and implement policies, interpret and apply standards under various employment laws. Support HR initiatives across disciplines such as compensation, diversity and inclusion, and change management. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervision This position receives general supervision from the Human Resources Director. The Sr. HR Generalist demonstrates considerable independence, judgment, creativity, discretion, and resourcefulness in resolving complex issues and informs the supervisor of progress and escalates urgent or controversial matters. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent of seven years of professional‑level experience. Minimum of four years of progressively responsible HR generalist, talent acquisition, employee relations, or training experience. Working knowledge of compensation, organizational analysis, talent management, staffing, employee relations, and benefits. Strong knowledge of employment law (FMLA, ADA, WC, EEO, etc.). Conflict management and de‑escalation skills; experience advising managers through complex employee issues. Experience managing employee relations activities. Exceptional listening, interpersonal, influencing, and project‑management skills. Analytical and data‑management experience. Proficiency with MS Office and willingness to learn new HRIS technology. Preferred Qualifications SHRM‑CP or PHR certification. Experience with ADP Workforce Now or BambooHR. Basic knowledge of organizational design, DEI, and training development. Benefits The annual salary for this position starts at $84,700.09 per year, accompanied by a competitive benefits package that includes health insurance, a generous retirement savings match, and paid time off.
