This position offers the opportunity to support 3rd-5th grade students during a short-term leave, working in a collaborative educational environment. The contract spans from early November through late January, excluding winter break, holidays, and student non-attendance days, providing you with a clear and manageable schedule.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required
• Prior experience in special education teaching or working with diverse learners preferred
• Comfortable adapting to a variety of classroom settings or student caseloads
• Strong communication, classroom management, and collaboration abilities
• Ability to fulfill full-time, onsite hours: 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to 3rd-5th grade students, adjusting strategies based on student needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with best practices and legal requirements
• Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administration to ensure effective instruction and services
• Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular updates on student progress
• Participate in parent meetings, IEP conferences, and school activities as necessary
