Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients on a 10-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit, incorporating critical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication. Manages patient and family experiences across a range of ages, primarily adults and geriatrics, ensuring optimal recovery and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions using the nursing process, including evaluation of physiological and psychosocial needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient goals and clinical best practices.
• Administer direct and indirect patient care, coordinating activities with interdisciplinary team members.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting accurately in Epic or related systems.
• Supervise ancillary staff to ensure quality and safe delivery of nursing services.
• Maintain compliance with travel, licensing, and certification requirements, including lab work and background checks.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CA RN license and current certifications in BLS and ALS, with ACLS preferred.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including acute rehab settings.
• Demonstrate experience in Epic charting and charting in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Be able to float to MCU/Tele departments as needed.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication, and nursing judgment skills.
• Willing to comply with background policies and work schedule requirements.
