Registered Nurse

This position requires a registered nurse specializing in pediatric behavioral health. The nurse will work on a child/adolescent psychiatric unit. Floating between units may be necessary based on patient care needs. Weekends are required every other weekend. The expected patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:5 during day and evening shifts and 1:10 during night shifts. The patient population includes adolescents ranging from 6-17 years old. Patients typically present with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma-related disorders, and acute suicidal ideation. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration with services such as social services, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support. Care providers will utilize specific equipment for patient transport, including humane wraps and hover jacks. Travelers are expected to commit to their scheduled shifts and are also required to work a minimum of three holidays throughout the contract period. Inflexibility with scheduled shifts or requests for time off may result in contract termination. Candidates must confirm experience and readiness to meet job responsibilities, including the requirement to float as needed.
