SQL Data Integration Analyst

Technical Stack & Environment

Database: SQL Server (Expert-level T-SQL scripting, stored procedures, and complex query optimization).

Development:.NET Framework, WCF/RESTful API services.

Testing & Validation: Postman (API testing/troubleshooting) and industry-standard data comparison/profiling tools.

Key Responsibilities

This role serves as a primary gatekeeper for data quality across the transaction lifecycle. You will focus on the technical intersection of database architecture, API integration, and business rule enforcement.

1. Data Quality & Integrity Management: Design, implement, and maintain rigorous data validation rules. Monitor data quality through profiling, comparison, and automated alerting to ensure system-wide integrity.

2. Database Development & Optimization: Architect, build, and maintain database-driven solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem. Focus on SQL scripting, data mapping, and relational database schema design to support high-volume transaction flows.

3. API Integration & Interoperability: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and WCF services. Ensure seamless communication between internal systems and third-party vendors by building robust integration points.

4. Investigative Problem Solving: Act as a technical detective. Analyze transaction life cycles, investigate data anomalies, and troubleshoot discrepancies between incoming data and system requirements.

5. Quality Assurance & Testing: Utilize tools like Postman to validate API endpoints and perform integration testing. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure all data movements and service calls adhere to organizational best practices.

6. Strategic Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring that data solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with long-term strategy.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related analytical field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a heavy emphasis on SQL programming, complex database design, and data lifecycle management.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • SQL Mastery: Proven ability to write complex scripts, perform data profiling, and build automated data quality rules.

  • Integration Expertise: Demonstrated success in building and consuming RESTful APIs and WCF services.

  • Development Frameworks: Strong proficiency in.NET development.

  • Testing/Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to use API testing tools (Postman) to troubleshoot and validate data flow in real-time.

• Mindset: A natural investigator with strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and filling "data gaps" before they impact business operations.

Key Details:

• Compensation: $65.00-70.00 per hour
