Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 8, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring an active IA or compact RN license and a minimum of 24 months of current Cath Lab experience.Details\n \n Cath Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a hospital system with multiple Des Moines campuses\n Trauma Level II facility\n Days shift: 4x10s, 7a-530p, Monday-Friday, 40 hrs/week with a random day off (blocked scheduling not guaranteed)\n Holiday rotation includes 1 night/week and every 3rd weekend (7:30p Friday through 7a Monday)\n On-call responsibilities required, including assigned cases on rare occasions\n Required to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units\n EMR: Epic\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license, IA or compact required\n BLS certification (AHA)\n Active ARRT certification required\n RCIS certification preferred\n Minimum 24 months of current Cath Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab experience required\n Travel experience within the previous 18 months required\n Scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring experience required\n Trauma Level II experience required\n Trauma Level I experience preferred\n Structural heart experience highly preferred\n Interventional Radiology experience preferred\n EP experience preferred\n Peripheral vascular experience preferred\n Skills checklist specific to Cath Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab required\n Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred\n Driver's license required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Perform scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring duties within the Cath Lab/EP setting\n Willingness to take call required\n Holiday coverage required: contractors must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed\n Winter holiday coverage requires working 2 of 3 (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)\n Limited time-off requests allowed during peak holiday periods (Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's weeks)\n Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration\n Local candidates and radius rules vary by hospital campus\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-744234.
